Filet Steak with Hot Cheese Sauce

Preheat the oven to 120°C (250°F) fan.
Wash the fillet steak and pat it dry with kitchen paper. Avoid pounding the meat.
Heat a pan with some oil and fry the steaks over high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side until they reach the desired doneness (medium).
Lift the steaks out of the pan and season them generously with salt and pepper.
Wrap the steaks in aluminum foil and place them in the preheated oven. Depending on preference, they can cook there for between 5 and 10 minutes longer. Remove the steaks from the oven and serve them with a delicious cheddar or cheddar-jalapeno sauce.

Tip:

  • Heat the sauce. Recipe .
  • Serve with roasted vegetables and/or fries. The cheddar sauce also goes excellently with them.
  • To ensure even cooking of the meat when frying, it should be at room temperature. Therefore, take the meat out of the refrigerator 1 hour beforehand..
